I barely wrote. I barely encouraged. I withdrew. I shut down.
I was reminded this morning, Ironically the last day of 2015 about Matthew 25:14-30, the parable of the talents. I encourage you to read it. I thought about the talents that God gave me. I'm not saying that you may believe that I am good at it, but that doesn't matter, I am talking about the passion that God put in me that gives me hope and purpose. The things that I love to do. I love to write, I love to encourage, and I love people.
For the last year, however, I didn't love any of those things....
Because I did it for you...and not for God.
God has gifted each believer in different ways. Everyone has something to offer for the work of the kingdom. Romans 12 says, "Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us different work to do" (NLT). ~Greg Laurie
It set my sights in a new perspective.
God did not put me through a year of tough lessons, lessons of bitterness, anger, frustration, past hurts, rejection, unfairness and more...
He delivered me into FORGIVENESS.
Friends, Today is a day to leave behind all those things in the past and look forward to new beginnings! Are you ready to leave behind all those things that are hindering you today, and leave them there?
Philippians 3:13 Message Bible
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.
