You Can Not Take Christ Out Of Christmas, There Is No War!
PLANTING SEEDS: (Truth) Truth can only be found in God’s word. People can share their opinion on truth, which I am going to do with you in a moment during my “Coffee Cup Counseling” section but I encourage you to personally start getting into the word and studying scripture. It will open up a brand new perspective and new life for those that take the time to begin or rekindle their relationship with God.
John 20:17 (NIV)
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
COFFEE CUP COUNSELING: (My Personal Perspective)
I certainly am not going to pretend to understand why Jesus stated this scripture, but let me tell you what this scripture is speaking to me today. Do you ever fear anything? Fear of death, fear of sickness or disease, fear of failure, fear of people, fear of eternity, fear of sharing the truth of the gospel? Many people today are afraid to share the gospel, and many people today are working hard at attempting to pull the gospel out of our lives…
Do you suppose Jesus might have meant that we should not cling to the world or anything that is in it, because we were not meant to remain here…that our hope should be in an eternal transformation instead and that is where our focus should remain?
Once truth has been planted in your heart…it grows. No one can snatch you out of God’s hand. No one can snatch truth out of your heart. The world can burn the Bibles, put you in jail, tell you to take Christ out of Christmas, tell you that you should not speak about the Bible lest you offend someone…but they can not take Christ out of Christmas, your world, your home or your hearts. Christ isn’t a season, He isn’t a Sunday Service, He is not a Wednesday Bible Study, Nor is He an individual sharing their Blog or Vlog with you on Social Media. He is not a Certificate, a Diploma or a Degree. He is not a cross around your neck or a picture on your wall. He is your Savior and you will never NOT have the ability or opportunity to accept Him, no matter what the world attempts to take away. Because He is not something, someone can take away, He is available to ALL to be accepted. No one but God has the ability to deny that right, because He is the only one who paid the price for you and He has all control. God has not taken his hand off of America…or anyone else for that matter. He has only taken His hand off those that reject Him.
I used to struggle with people that would oppose my faith in Christ. Granted there was a time that my flesh kicked in and I had a bout of Religious arguments. I believed at one time that it was my responsibility to save people, so if they did not accept truth, I would get into a pointless battle with people that disagreed or did not have a faith in Christ.
Until I learned…my responsibility to is speak truth out loud, not to deny Christ, and to walk out Gods instruction in my own life. I plant seeds, or I water seeds planted by another, but God grows…God Saves. I am not able to do that part. It’s also my responsibility to not make anyone stumble over me while getting to Jesus… by my arguments, or my disobedience to Christ. As for those that reject Jesus, however, that is not my responsibility. That is on every individual.
You will find all sorts of conflict over Jesus. You have Believer’s arguing with Non Believers, and you have Religions arguing with Religions… but Believers have a Peace that Surpasses all understanding. That’s what we need to get to as Truth sharers. The understanding that no one can rip Jesus from us. No matter anyone’s argument or reaction, that we certainly have a responsibility to follow God’s instruction and to imitate Christ to the best of hearts by being led by the Holy Spirit. Let’s not make excuses, but understand that Salvation to Heaven is by Faith, not by Works, but our Christian duty is to do works that imitate Christ. Otherwise our faith does not water or plant God’s garden…it’s only lies dead and will never grow.
As far as the conflict that is in the world…the answer lies in several places in the Bible including:
1 Corinthians 1:18-21The Message (MSG)
The Message that points to Christ on the Cross seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out. It’s written,
I’ll turn conventional wisdom on its head,
I’ll expose so-called experts as crackpots.
So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb—preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation.
So let’s get into God’s word, speak truth and set the captives free.

God, thank you that no one has the ability to remove Christ out of Christmas or anything else. Thank you that we do not have to battle as the world battles over pointless arguments and that it is our faith in you that you see. Thank you for the planters and waterers and thank you that you Grow your truth. As led by the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
