God is not lack. He is not stingy. He also it not going to put you in a battle you aren't able to overcome. So what does He do? He puts little popcorn fires out there for us to put out. To build us, to train us, to teach us. Popcorn fires, although we might think they are a huge deal, and appear like the wildfires in California, are only illuminated by Satan and our reaction. God knows that in reality they are the size of growth. Sometimes we like to beat ourselves up by saying we aren't Christian, or we are not ready. Well, don't worry, you are, and God will keep training, our job is to not give up, God never gives up on us, and his grace abounds.
I see all the time, repeated posts, complaints, negative reactions to situations. I look at my recent and past posts and how I've responded to situations. Other people and myself have focused on that ONE THING and we've made a monster out of it. Finding everything out there to repeat the same negative emotion over and over and over, and for some reason we seem to believe that people will fix our problem if we just put one more HINT out there. The problem isn't with the situation, it's about our perspective, our place in Christ and our Faith. But it's still all about us. Don't blame anyone else for your actions.
So I've been thinking about somethings in life. Is there anything more important that reconciling relationships, either back to each other or back to Christ? What reward will you have in the end? Is there a price you have to pay to go all out for Christ? Maybe, it's simply to shed those things that have been making you feel like a failure. Perhaps you hold them so close though that it would feel like devastation if you lost them at first. What would you loose for going all out for Christ? Seriously make a list. I think you would be surprised at the outcome. I felt like I lost a lot, the first couple years of my walk with Christ. Now I feel like it's been replaced 10 fold.
Don't think for a moment you are not qualified. God is an amazing personal trainer, He will start at any level you are at....it doesn't matter to Him, he just wants you to start. Next will come amazing things, most you will miss, because your eyes aren't yet able to see. Soon you will see that God has planted within you, gifts that you tried to hide, that will advance the kingdom of God. Oh and no worries about the training, God will make sure that you are fully prepared for whatever comes.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
