I had a bad ending to my day yesterday. I managed to lose control of communication by simply asking for something and ended up hurting someone's feelings. The good news is, that person and I were able to come to positive terms at the end, but I tend to beat myself up because it happened at all. I don't like it, and I don't like that I caused it.
Then I felt led to "share" my downfall with my friends. Not always the easy thing, opening up your life and letting people in. I don't do it for sympathy, although I used to, now I share so people can see realness, and perhaps I can learn from them, they from me.
So this morning, I replied this to my friend:
Thanks Steph, there is nothing worse in my book than issues between people. There's things I do well and things I don't do well. I used to love to argue, now I hate it.... I like peace now... somedays it seems impossible, sometimes just asking for something or saying anything causes issues. If I could sit silent I would...ok that's a lie, I don't know how to do that either. I think that's why I love writing, I can think it through, delete, fix, change, and edit before I say it.
Now this is where my God heart kicked in.
We are constantly saying that the NOW GENERATION doesn't know how to properly communicate because of all the electronic devices.
What if this generation has seen enough "proper communication" as I just referred to, and are seeking out a way to communicate without the face to face "issues" it causes? What if this generation of texters are screaming for Peace?
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
