It's easy to walk with you when we know you are there, but the moment we think you've left us alone, like Adam, that temptation comes and we have to decide whether we are going to walk it out or fall victim to that temptation, whether we think you are there or not.
It's amazing how we can criticize the choices your children made throughout the Bible and how we can say what they should have done to obey you. The truth is, we do the same insanity circles, just in another generation and find an excuse as well. I love that we can see the whole story, and the outcome of your children back then, so that the choices we need to make can be easier. It's almost as though you've left a map for us to get to you when we haven't developed the ears to hear yet.
I pray for obedience and perseverance to walk this journey out, even on those days that we are unsure of the future. God help us with the realization that you never leave us and that even on days we don't feel you, that you remain. I pray for ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
