Finding Reasons To Be Crabby

You sure don't have to go far in a day before you come across a reason to be crabby.  Kid's clothes on the floor, leftover food floating in the dish water and the dishwashers broken.  A hard decision that needs to be made.  People that lie, people that use people to get what they want.  Disappointment at work, in people.  Unanswered prayers.  If you allow it, you could be crabby just about the entire day.  Some people are.  Some days I am.

The days I feel the best however are those days that my smile is genuine.  The days that maybe things aren't going so great, but my attitude is.  Very little goes right in a day, but if we are able to work through those things with a thankful attitude we can move mountains in our lives.  I know it can be tough, because once you start grumbling, it's easy to continue.  It's hard to say positive things and actually believe them this day and age.  But it's not impossible.

After all, it is God in which we are to walk with each day.  We are to ask Him for wisdom in our decisions, we are supposed to feel secure and confident that no matter what happens, He is beside us.  He is at the beginning of our journey, He is at the end.  He is with us through every detour and at every stopping place.

If you don't make it though this hour with joy, try again next hour.  There are lots of learning opportunities through out the day.  Don't think you can do it on your own though... to be genuine you have to learn to do it through Jesus who gives us all ability!

Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Good Morning God,
We are so thankful that you are the ultimate control of it all and that we are your children.  We ask for the Holy Spirit to guide us.  Please help us remember that all we do, we do unto you, and that we can serve you in whatever it is we do through out the day.  Then no matter what we do, it can become pleasant because we are working for you.  In Jesus precious name we pray.  AMEN
