Recruiting for the Right Purpose

For the last 6 years, I've been recruiting Candidates all over the United States for Career placements.  I've learned so many things during this time about Candidates, Clients, objectives, and even more about myself and my purpose.  I've only not gotten 1 job that I've applied for in my entire career until I worked in a position that ended that streak.

Ironically the position I didn't get hired for when I was 20, was the position another woman got that nearly ended my marriage. Not coincidence.

And since then, the only position I haven't received revolves around a very traumatic time with a very unprofessional supervisor who I ended up with several health issues and panic attacks.  But if I were to whine about it to you, you and every employer I would ever tell would see me as the cause of the issue, no matter what I said.  The interesting thing is, the Sheriff actually had me file a complaint against this supervisor with him,  which didn't end up going anywhere and in the end, I felt like I gave up the an incredible opportunity and since I would be deemed unfit for any position in that organization moving forward, because I couldn't cut it.

But what I didn't know at the time, is that that closed door to a bad opportunity, helped me trust Christ to lead, only prepares an open door to an opportunity that I'm extremely passionate about.  And that's recruiting and helping others find their open door to careers that they feel passionate about.  When your passionate about something, you feel purpose, and when you feel purpose, you are engulfed with energy and drive.

I found purpose.  First and foremost in my own relationship with God, next sharing and studying the word with my family, further, sharing and studying the word with you all, and finally a career helping others find their passion in their careers.

I was listening to John Maxwell the other day and he said "you can't take people where you haven't been".  Instantly I thought about the places I want to take people that I haven't made it to yet... WRONG MINDSET... today, I thought about being faithful in the small things and all the places I have been.  Places that God has shown me victory in, places that other people are struggling in...that need help finding the way out of.  I've been in a lot of places.  I've experienced a lot of things.  I've not lived an easy life of hand me anythings...but the experience I gained through Christ....is priceless.

I love that He has prepared me in all ways to share those with you, so you can find purpose in your own personal journey on your way to Him.
