There Is Only One Stairway to Heaven

I have to be honest and say that if I were reading this passage back then, before I invested my life in the Word of God.  Jesus may have just sounded a bit crazy to me also.  He talked in parables, and it meant more than just his story.  You had to understand why he was saying what he was, before he said it, to make sense.

Read the Scripture Passage Here: John 10:1-21

What's amazing when you read the Bible now verses listening to Jesus then is that you know how the story played out.  That is why it seems obvious what Jesus was saying, because you know what he's going to do later.  It's easier for us to believe because we have PROOF of what Jesus did.  They had proof also, but like us, they would forget as quickly as it came, the goodness of God.

So do you hear the voice of Jesus?  I only heard God's voice audibly one time, at a very desperate time in my life, and I have never since and never before, at least not that I recognized.  I do hear God's leading in my inner knowing, however.  I just read a testimony of a lady who was able to steer clear of danger twice, simply because her inner voice, (Holy Spirit) prompted her to go off her normal course.  Do you hear the Holy Spirit prompting you?  Some are troubled because they don't know if it's God, their own mind, or Satan speaking to them.  That's why it's important to read God's word, that's how you get to know Jesus personally.  Then you will be able to discern who's voice is in your head or actually your spirit.

What Gate are you trying to enter Heaven in?  The only door that leads there is Jesus.

Morning Angela. I think I enter into Heaven, or the presence of God through Jesus of course and through communion with Him. I mean prayer, worship and seeking His face. To know Him and more every day. I can't say I'm very structured or disciplined in this area, but it's more like, praying at all times in the spirit and in the understanding. When I lived up in SD some of my best, most awesome prayer times were driving to school and church from Britton to Sisseton. LONG WAY but beautiful time for prayer and singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord. Yesterday I was praying and crying and I interceding for my son while I was washing 2 very reluctant shih tzus dogs, lol. A few months ago while I was seeking the Lord desperately to lead me, I would wake up praying. I mean as soon as I was conscious scriptures were going over and ov r in my mind. I remember one morning waking up saying, "I am my beloved's and He is mine". This was very special to me because I had recently had my heart terribly broken and rejected and Jesus specifically told me, "I want you, I love you, and I will never leave you" He is my beloved. And my comforter. I also pray for Him to give me a hunger for His word and a thirst for knowledge. And I pray for Him to open my eyes that I may see and my ears that I may hear what the Spirit of God is saying g to me. And IT WORKS, LOL. He watches over His word to perform it. Thanks again for your dedication and your discipline to urge us to think and to seek Him. I for 1 and very grsteful. Huggssssss

Good Morning Sweet Friend! I love to hear your. Finding God in my worst moments are some of my most thankful memories. I also love when he's there at breakthroughs, and child births at the dinner table, washing the dogs. :) He spoke the same to me at one of my desperate moments... I will never leave you, nor forsake you. There's beauty in that, and you've captured it well! Thank you for sticking out the study with me!
