I've learned to meditate on God when situations come into my life. I've learned to look at myself, evaluate myself first see if there's anything I can do to fix the situation, or change my behavior. There always is. Things you can improve, do better, grow, and excel, But it doesn't always mean that it's always all your behavior that has caused the situation, so don't get into beating yourself up.
Next, I like to get a pair of headsets and turn up the Christian music and go walking. I want to share with you my revelation from yesterday. I will listening to the song "Ocean's Deep" by Hillsong United. I came to the following lyrics:
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
I thought to myself.... In order to say lead me where my trust is without borders, it means that you are going to have to walk through some uncomfortable situations, some things where you don't understand, some things where only God can bring you revelation. If you are willing to go where ever God calls you, then be prepared to have to come up against opposition. If you are ready to go deeper, you will find yourself with larger challenges. You will find yourself in a situation that makes you want to throw up, sit up all night worrying, heartbeat pounding out of your chest and forcing yourself to take a step, hopefully in the right direction.
Sometimes, when people pray they pray for God to do things for them. Sometimes when people pray they ask God what we can do for Him. Both prayers are heard, unless you think that God is in your pocket. Then you might be a little upset. God will do things that will heal the whole. That means that that situation that is causing issue will be blessed also. So don't get upset, that's how God works. The most effective prayer, however, no matter what the situation is to say "God what would you like to see happen here." Get your own thoughts, emotions, and needs out of the way. Why? Because you only see "your" picture. God sees it all. God knows your needs before you even ask, and he will supply them abundant regardless.
Today, I can say I have a deeper place to walk through, and I know it will be ok. Rough patches and all. I fell asleep at 7p.m. last night and didn't wake until 5:30 a.m. and today is a new day, refreshed, revised and with a God perspective.
Chin up friends, walk this out with God, and dare to allow the Spirit to lead you where your trust is without borders.
Here's the song, enjoy!
