Read the Scripture here: John 9:1-12
If God wants to bring change in your life, what would that look like? Would it look like handing you everything you wanted so that you always knew that he loved you? That everything you ever asked for would be supplied to you at the exact moment you asked for it? Is that how we build character? Maybe begging would help. So if you begged God three times, then you would know he loved you if he caved in to your wants? Do you do that with your children? Some people do...and if that's you, how did that turn out for you? Do your children appreciate you and love you and say thank you for all you've done?
I believe that character is built a lot of the times through struggles and things in our lives that we have no control over. Our reaction to these things says a lot about the kind of people we are in our hearts. If we've had to struggle and suffer, we will be known either by how much we've complained, how lazy we've become, or how hard we worked go get out of it. God doesn't always give us handouts because he knows that many times the things we ask for aren't good for us, or that we have lessons we need to learn to be able to sustain what comes with the blessings.
Think of those times God used spit and dirt to heal you? Are you thankful or did you ask for gold and wine?
