Mark 9:38-41

PLANTING SEEDS: (Truth) Truth can only be found in God’s word. People can share their opinion on truth, which I am going to do with you in a moment during my “Coffee Cup Counseling” section but I encourage you to personally start getting into the word and studying scripture. It will open up a brand new perspective and new life for those that take the time to begin or rekindle their relationship with God.
Scripture Discussion:
Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us
38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”
39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
COFFEE CUP COUNSELING: (My Personal Perspective)
This is just my personal experience or perspective with scripture. By discussing out loud with one another, it allows us accountability for our thoughts and gives us an opportunity to interact with one another to give testimony on how scripture is or has personally changed our lives. When I do our family study, I believe it’s important to hear from each person in my family, because if we are just listening and not personally applying scripture to our own lives, what is the point of studying scripture together? Now, I will go first and then I want to hear from you next!
Conflict In Churches….
So let’s get into God’s word, speak truth and set the captives free.
MEDITATION & DISCUSSION:
Please take this time to journal your thoughts on this scripture. I might be the one who initiated this study, but it would be pointless without your participation. I encourage you to personally share your insight, testimony, thoughts, questions with me below on my YouTube Channel at Angela Serocki or on my blog at www.wisdomforinspiredliving.com, or keep it for your own personal journal.

You can text it, post it to Social Media, Discuss it at Bible Study, you can subscribe to my YouTube Channel at Angela Serocki or print today’s study from my wisdomforinspiredliving.com blog, invite a friend to have coffee and discuss! PRAYER:
God, let us not get so caught up in stubbornness and judgement that we do not have the ability to show compassion and mercy. Thank you that you see our hearts and that that can look much different than our outward appearance. Thank you that Jesus has been given all authority and that we can do nothing on our own without Him. Thank you that anything other than being led by the Holy Spirit will result in fruitless efforts, but that anything led by the Spirit moves mountains. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and interacting and with you on today’s scripture. I will see you tomorrow!
